e-Invites... e-Invites are a great new feature from idealweddingInvitations.co.uk. They let you send wedding invitations out by email - No fuss, no postage and no paper! Accordingto the Office of National Statistics in February 2005, 59% of British adults had used the internet in the previous 3 months. This means that most of you guests will probably have access to the internet and will use email on a regular basis. So, why not send their invite via email? It#s quick, it's simple and you don't have to mess arround with paper, printers and postage. e-Invites look exactly the same as your real invites but are sent by email instead. Your guests will receive an email messgae from you which when opened will show your very own customised wedding invitation. This is a great way of inviting people and even if you do decide to print them there's no harm in sending them via email as well!

Professional Printing... Although this website allows you to create your own wedding invitations not everyone has the necessary equipment at home or the inclination to do it themselves. When printing at home most people assume that normal A4 paper is all that can be used. However, when creating your own invitations there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't use the same high quality card as the professionals. Most ink jet printers are capable of printing on card up to a weight of 250gsm (standard paper being around 80gsm). This means that you too can use the card that the professionals use to ensure that your DIY invitations are as perfect as possible. We have various weights of card available from 200 to 290gsm, all of which come in a variety of elegant colours. This choice of card coupled with the great templates that we offer really does give you the opportunity to create great quality invitations at a fraction of the normal high street costs. Note: Your desired weight and colour of card can be selected either at the same time you buy your DIY Invitation Pack (i.e. after selecting and customising your invitations) or seperately at any time from our Accessories page.

Personalised Invites... When you buy invitations of any kind they normally contain a section where you can hand write the name of your guests (e.g. Dear.........). Although this may be appropriate in some cases it can be a real pain, especially if you have 100 guests or more. It can take an absolute age to hand write all of those names. With our Invitation Wizard, on the other hand, you can specify the names of your guests online and can merge them in with your invitation text to produce invitations personalised to each guest. No writing names by hand! Along with this mail merge approach, you can also specify the format of the names as they should appear on the invitation (e.g. Dear John, Andrea & Harry or maybe Dear Mr & Mrs Smith).
